Isabel is currently in 4th year studying a Bachelor of Engineering Mechatronics at the ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp of ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp. Throughout Isabel's time at UOW, she has been actively involved in student leadership and technical teams. Isabel is currently an executive member of the UOW Mechatronics Engineering Society and previously an executive of the UOW Physics Society. These roles have involved representing student perspectives, organising events, and supporting student engagement within the engineering community.
Isabel has additionally represented UOW at the Australian Rover Challenge for the past three years as part of the UOW Rover Team. Through this experience Isabel has built technical and leadership skills, representing UOW in a international engineering competition developing strong relationships with students within as well as with other universities. In addition to this, Isabel was awarded the New Colombo Scholarship to undertake the Cyber Engineering Course at Xidian ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp in China, where they represented this university internationally.
Isabel has previously worked within the UOW Infrastructure and Property Division (IPD) in a work integrated learning scholarship, focusing on developing a digital twin of all the UOW campuses, utilising LiDAR scans as part of the initiative to digitize and improve visibility over all UOW existing strategic assets.
Isabel aims to contribute these experiences to the role of Undergraduate Student Representative and help ensure that the undergraduate student perspective is clearly represented within UOW.
