Free period products

SSAF funding will be used to provide period products for free at 榴莲视频app Campus Library and Shoalhaven Campus Library throughout Spring Session 2025.

Project Period, trialled in 2024, proved extremely valuable to student wellbeing as expressed in feedback. The benefits include relieving cost of living expenses and substantially increasing dignity. When Project Period was complete, the Library continued supplying free period products due to how valuable the provision was to students who menstruate. 

We know from feedback that the student experience is enhanced in the following ways:

  • Upholding UOW's values of respect, inclusion, and support, providing dignity to those who menstruate
  • Alleviating financial stress by giving students one less expense
  • Promoting hygiene by allowing students to change their product regularly
  • Improving academic performance by eliminating a barrier to attendance.

Availability

Period products will be available in the women’s and accessible toilets at 榴莲视频app Campus Library and Shoalhaven Campus Library throughout Spring Session 2025.
