ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵapp of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵapp innovation hub recognised AT 2025 TRIPLE E Awards
The ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵapp of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵapp’s has been awarded a major accolade at the 2025 ACEEU (Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities) Global Triple E Awards – the Female Entrepreneurship Empowerment Award. iAccelerate also won the People’s Choice Award in this same category – recognising the value it delivers to its community through leadership in inclusive entrepreneurship and support for women founders.
iAccelerate operates on the belief that innovation is for everyone, a belief that has seen it consistently double industry norms for female founders. In 2024, 52 per cent of iAccelerate-supported companies had at least one female founder.
“We are committed to delivering excellence in female entrepreneurship. It is not an afterthought, it is at the core of all we do,” iAccelerate Director Dr Tamantha Stutchbury said.
“Through innovative, inclusive programming, iAccelerate empowers women from diverse backgrounds to thrive. We believe that to create a future built for everyone, innovators and entrepreneurs from all backgrounds should be supported to bring their ideas to life.”
“By attracting diverse participants, we also attract diverse ideas, ideas that we know will better address the needs of the whole community.”
Key programs driving iAccelerate’s success:
: Scholarships, mentorship and ecosystem-building opportunities for female founders in STEM and entrepreneurship. Since 2023, 66 female founders have received LIFT scholarships, 34 of whom are PhD students in STEM disciplines – helping bridge research with real-world innovation.
Delivered in regional and remote Australia, especially in the NSW South Coast, to rebuild and strengthen communities through entrepreneurship following crises such as the Black Summer bushfires. Over five years, 30 women-led regional businesses have participated.
A 14-week pre-accelerator focused on “business for good”, co-designed by social enterprise leaders and featuring wraparound support – including workshops, mentoring, online learning, peer support and site visits. 82% of the participants identify as female.
These programs are backed by strong partnerships with government, industry and community bodies and build capacity for women to see themselves as innovators, founders and leaders.
