Distinguished Professor Noel Cressie is speaking at The Antarctic seminar and can comment on how he and Associate Professor Andrew Zammit Mangion are using advanced spatial and statistical methods to better understand the dynamic relationship between Antarctica’s ecosystems and global climate. is a Distinguished Professor of Statistics in UOW’s , and Director of the . Professor Cressie's research focuses on developing statistical methodologies to address environmental challenges facing our planet.


Indigenous knowledge   

Dr Crystal Arnold and Peter Hewitt can comment on Indigenous science, knowledge systems and their connection to caring for Country, ahead of their Indigenous Science Evening .  

, a Gundungurra woman and academic at UOW’s researches Yuin ways of knowing to inform environmental practice, particularly in the context of weed management. She is also a co-lead of child model, Country, Cultures and Communities, which focuses on placing Country at the heart of early childhood education.
