Find the right form needed for your next HDR studies step

Before you commence

  • : Seeking recognition for a similar coursework subject completed before

Your first month

  • : Clarifying the goals and responsibilities of each person. Please complete this form with your principal supervisor, preferably within the first month
  • (previously called First Interview Checklist): Providing a checklist to the supervisors for all the matters that should be discussed with HDR candidates in the first two or three meetings
  • : Complete after discussing with your supervisor to request shared office space, laboratory access and access cards

Developing your research proposal

  • : Completed by the panel who evaluate your research proposal review

Initiating your research

  • : Organising some funding to support your research

Changes in your course enrolment or supervision

  • : Suspending studies for one session 
  • : Transferring to a different HDR course, changing the delivery mode of the current HDR course, or changing campuses, while remaining under the same Principal Supervisor
  • : Withdrawing from a coursework subject for reasons beyond your control
  • : Changing supervision panel
  • Reduced Study Load Form: Changing study load

Seeking extensions and fee waivers

Submitting your thesis

  • : Before submitting thesis, your principal supervisor must complete this form in consultation with you
  • : When submitting thesis, the Head of Postgraduate Studies will complete this form
  • : (For Master of Research candidates)
  • : Submitting your actual thesis
  • : Complete when submitting your final thesis
  • : Completed by UOW Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP)/ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp Postgraduate Award (UPA) holders who have not exhausted all scholarship stipend payments at the time of submission of thesis
