Scholarships and awards are available for eligible HDR candidates at UOW. These scholarships include annual stipends, living allowances and tuition fee costs.
2027 Main round scholarships
Future and current students are encouraged to apply for the 2027 Main Round scholarships to commence in Autumn 2027.

Joint Postgraduate Scholarships Program - China Scholarship Council (CSC)
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp of ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp (UOW) are jointly offering postgraduate research scholarships to students from the People’s Republic of China who intend to undertake a postgraduate research degree at the ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp of ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp.

Scholarship amount: UOW will provide an International Postgraduate Tuition Award (IPTA) to each student selected under this program. This IPTA will pay the full tuition fees. CSC will provide each student selected under this program with a living allowance for the term of the scholarship, a return airfare to Australia, visa application fees, and the cost of the Australian Government approved Overseas Student Health Cover.
Indigenous-led adaptation to sea-level rise
This project will explore how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, values and principles can shape and lead planning on Country for adaptation to sea-level rise in south-east Australia.
