Earlier in the year, we asked you what you thought about living in a UOW Student Residence in 2026. Here is what we are doing with your feedback to improve your residential experience.
Student Residence Satisfaction Survey – what you told us
Residences
- You told us you would like improved laundry facilities... so we are doubling the number of washing machines and dryers available.
- You told us you would like to see better cleaning of common areas and the bin room... so we are expanding our cleaning team.
- You told us maintenance responses are too slow... so we are working with the maintenance team as they implement systems to improve response times.

- You told us catering isn't meeting expectations... so we are improving communication and consistency in service.

- You told us you want common area upgrades... so we are ordering new appliances and renovating spaces.

- You told us you want larger portions of catering... so we are working with Chartwells to include meal add-ons through the Jumpr+ app.
- You told us you want common kitchens kept cleaner... so we are having staff complete regular audits to keep these spaces clean and usable.
- You told us you like staff-led food events... so we are continuing lunchtime BBQs each fortnight to keep you engaging with staff and well fed.
