Overview

The Bachelor of Business – Bachelor of Arts combines business knowledge with an understanding of people, cultures, ideas and societies. In this double degree, you complete the requirements of both courses as separate areas of study. You must select at least one major from the Bachelor of Business and at least one major from the Bachelor of Arts.

Through your Business studies, you will develop analytical, communication and decision-making skills that can be applied across industries. You will explore key business disciplines before choosing your major, building foundations in business analysis, data interpretation and evidence-based decision-making.

In the Bachelor of Arts, you will examine people, cultures, ideas and societies while investigating complex issues, challenging assumptions and exploring why change happens. Along the way, you will build valuable skills in research, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving. You can shape your studies around your interests and goals through a wide range of majors and flexible study options.

This double degree allows you to complete two qualifications in less time and at a lower overall cost than studying each course separately.

See the for more information.

A distinctive feature of the Bachelor of Business is the interdisciplinary capstone project. In your final year, you will work with students from different business specialisations on a challenge provided by an external organisation. Through this experience, you will gain insight into how areas such as finance, marketing, management and sustainability contribute to solving organisational problems.

Throughout the degree, you will apply business concepts to contemporary challenges while building experience working independently and collaboratively.

Beginning from Country, the Bachelor of Arts explores the complex ways that people, communities and places are connected at local, national and global levels. You will be guided through diverse perspectives, including Indigenous, historical, literary, legal, philosophical, political, sociological and environmental perspectives, to examine topics such as power, protest, justice, inequality, displacement and belonging.

You will also apply your learning through simulations, research projects and capstone experiences that respond to regional, national and global concerns.

By completing both courses, you graduate with the distinct knowledge and capabilities developed through each qualification. This broadens the range of industries and professional contexts in which you can apply your skills.
