Four researchers appointed to Australian Research Council College of Experts
New expert cohort showcases UOW's strong research capability
Four leading ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp of ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp (UOW) researchers have been appointed to the 2026 Australian Research Council College of Experts, highlighting UOW's standing as a centre for world-class research.
The ARC College of Experts comprises more than 300 members drawn from Australia's research sector. Members evaluate research applications, provide advice on research priorities, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields.
The newly appointed members are:
- Professor (School of Social Sciences)
- Associate Professor (School of Geography and Sustainable Communities)
- Dr (Woolyungah Indigenous Centre)
- Professor (Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials)
The appointment of these researchers reflects the exceptional calibre of research expertise across the ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµapp. Their addition strengthens UOW's representation within the College and demonstrates UOW’s contribution to building a stronger Australian research system.
Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research and Sustainable Futures) Dr Paul Di Pietro said the appointments reflect UOW's commitment to research excellence and contribution to the national research agenda.
"These appointments are a testament to the outstanding reputation of our researchers," Dr Di Pietro said.
"Our researchers continue to make significant contributions to their fields and to the broader research community. The appointment of these four exceptional academics to the ARC College of Experts shows the high regard in which they are held by their peers."
The newly appointed experts will provide evaluation and advice on competitive research grants, helping to drive innovation and discovery across the country. Appointments are made for a three-year term.
