Academic Senate is the peak body for advising the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵapp Council and the Vice-Chancellor on academic matters and broad issues affecting academic excellence at the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵapp. 

As a student member of the Academic Senate you will learn about how complex organisations make decisions, and how to work with others to understand problems and develop new solutions. This is a great opportunity to develop skills for your career outside the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵapp.

As a student member of Academic Senate, you will also hold an ex officio role on the Student Advisory Council.

Campus student representatives represent students at the UOW regional and metropolitan campuses.  

Elections are being held for Regional and Metropolitan Campus Student Representatives for one-year terms commencing in January 2026.  

As a Regional or Metro Campus Representative you will connect with students, staff and community, and ensure the unique interests of these campuses are represented. This is a great opportunity to develop skills for your career outside the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵapp.

As a Regional or Metro Campus Representative, you will also hold an ex officio role on the Student Advisory Council.

Elections are being held for SMAH, ASSH, EIS and BAL Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Onshore International Student Representatives for two-year terms commencing in January 2026. 

Elections are being held for SMAH, ASSH, EIS and BAL Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Onshore International Student Representatives for two-year terms commencing in January 2026. 

Faculty student representatives participate in faculty governance activities, including Faculty meetings and events. It will be a critical time for Student Representation as UOW begins to implement a new faculty structure after the recent transformation. Representatives will have an active role in shaping how UOW serves students into the future. This is a great opportunity to develop skills for your career outside the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵapp.
