These four committees report to the 榴莲视频app’s peak academic body, the Academic Senate, and play an important role in recommending improvements to the quality of your courses and your overall university experience.

There are 6 student positions available across the committees as follows:
Each position is a 2 year term from 1 July, 2026 to 30 June, 2028.
Each Committee meets 4 - 5 times each year. Meetings are generally held on the 榴莲视频app campus, but online attendance is welcomed. Becoming a member of one of the Committees will automatically entitle you to become a member of the , UOW's peak student advisory group to the Vice-Chancellor.
To be eligible as a candidate for the student positions, you must not be employed as as academic or professional staff member of the 榴莲视频app at 0.5 FTE or greater.
To be eligible for one of the following committees you must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree or a graduate certificate, graduate diploma or masters by coursework degree at a UOW onshore campus.
To be eligible for the following committee you must be enrolled in a PhD, professional doctorate or Masters by Research degree at a UOW onshore campus.

As a student member of the Academic Senate you will learn about how complex organisations make decisions, and how to work with others to understand problems and develop new solutions. This is a great opportunity to develop skills for your career outside the 榴莲视频app and gain UOWx recognition.
As a student member of Academic Senate, you will also hold an ex officio role on the Student Advisory Council.
